TOUCH Home Care (THC) provides home medical, home nursing and home rehabilitative services to help the frail elderly with mobility problems enjoy greater independence and better quality of life at home
Beside the above services, THC also offers home help services including Meals-on-Wheels and Escort & Transport services. We are seeking volunteers for these 2 areas:
Meals-on-Wheels
Meals-on-Wheels is a meal delivery programme to meet the daily needs of the home-bound elderly. The elderly, who usually live alone, depend on volunteers from TOUCH Home Care's Meals-on-Wheels to deliver their meals every day.
JOIN us now, if you are available from 10am to 12.30pm or 4pm to 6.30pm, preferably once a week on weekdays or once a month on weekends. Distribution locations include Toa Payoh, Whampoa, Bendemeer, Geylang Bahru, Potong Pasir and Bishan. We need both car-owners/drivers and delivery personnel. Generally, the work involves reporting to the TOUCH Home Care office to collect pre-packed food, and then driving along a designated route to deliver the food packages. The driver remains in the car, while the delivery personnel delivers the food to the door step of the elderly.
Escort & Transport Services
Escort & Transport services enable the home-bound elderly with chronic and/or complex medical illness to go for their medical appointments to receive regular review with their family physician/ specialists.
JOIN us now, if you are available either 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm, preferably once a week on weekdays. We need both car-owners/drivers and escort personnel. Generally, one needs to drive and/or accompany an elderly from the doorstep of the elderly for his/her medical appointments. The elderly may be staying in Toa Payoh, Whampoa, Bendemeer, Geylang Bahru, Potong Pasir or Bishan.
